Well, my NJ connection has once again invited our group out to see the 'Dilla mx this year. Here is his message:
Dilla is the July 15th weekend. Bring the RV down and hang out at our club property. You can even bring the quad down. There is a field the kids ride around in and some AWESOME trails for us big kids. My daughter (16) is coming this year so there will be a built in baby sitter, so you can ride the trails with us.
We get there Friday, ride Saturday and go to Dilla on Sunday. This year we will be coming home on Monday so it is more relaxing.
Our property is about 40 miles south of Dilla in Deposit NY. It is about 10 miles south of Rte 88. Take a look at a map and see how long it would take you to get there. My son talks about the trip all year so it must be a blast for the kids as well, you won't be disappointed.
Is there any interest in doing this? Should we make this the WPR "BBQ" weekend? On a quick Mapquest calculation this would be just shy of 300 miles and 5 hours towing. My initial reaction is this is a lot of towing (gas) if my entire family doesn't come. Just wanted to pass it along to see if there is any interest? I could be pursuaded.
It would be cool to see the trucks loaded with dirtbikes and towing RVs.
