I guess we were dressed and ready to go about 8:30am. 1776 looked just smashing in his fresh MSR gear; made me look like a vagabond. Other than 1776 and 1101, there were another 5 riders at the pumping station in two separate groups. We decided to do the ol-standby (Ben) Loop; we took off. Trails were in remarkably good condition, and thanks to Global-Warming were dry-to-dusty; well need gas-masks come July. First loop was at a warm-up pace with 1776 in the lead. No one laid it down, and we made it back to the trucks so that the new MSR Poster Boy could put on his fresh, out of the plastic-bag moto (hockey) socks; they went up to his nuts. Second loop, again 1776 in the lead, quicker pace and minimal stops along the way. We lost one radiator shroud to a tree that would just not get out of the way. Back to the trucks and on the road by 12:00, 25mi total
Felt great to be back on the bike. But now as I write, Im a bit tender in all those private areas.
