5 Wpr members, 2 first timers (#43 and #19), 1 sophomore (# 1) and 2 seasoned Vets (#2 and # 5) met up @ the yellow Gate. The 5 of us managed 6 miles of unforgetable mud floundering, hill climbing, log hopping trail riding fun. I was very impressed with our pace, it was much faster than expected. Well done guys can't wait to do it again and maybe next time we can get 1101 and kids to join us
The rider of the day award goes to # 43. This award was given to 43 By his peers. # 1 thought # 43 line selection was spot on all day, # 19 thought 43 speed was very impressive. Good Job 43
ahhhh, #2 beat me to the ride report by 18 minutes tonight. Ok, so my thoughts too. I mentioned to #2 the last time the 5 of us were out that we looked like a commercial with all the little red riders in a row. But this time was certainly a first.
It was another one of those moments for me in life that reminds me that I have arrived where I've always wanted to be. It was exactly as it should have been, the Pres was leading, then our boys, then I was riding clean up.
#1101, I know you've already been where we are just starting, but we should make an effort to get them all together for at least one ride this summer. I actually have the boys again all day this Sat (5/19) and I know they want to get out again. I will also be around Memorial Day Weekend and would certainly like to get one in then.
The best part about this is weekend riding is back on the table!! See, it's still family time. And the little lady doesn't mind the "time off" these days.
Although #43 hit a low point in the middle part of the ride, he was back in good spirits and looking forward to the next ride by the end again. I want to get his confidence back up again so I'll probably try to keep to the real easy stuff all day this time. Maybe even some low speed single track. Not sure what the quad can fit through. But I bet they can do the "Jr Enduro" loop.
1101, I will tell you, #43 has stolen the Mud Flounder title from you hands down, and it will take quite a show to get this back from him! Although he'll gladly give it to you!!
